WASHINGTON D.C. - Newly-released transcripts of secret testimony at the January 6 Committee show that a witness testified then-President Donald Trump had not wrestled with a Secret Service agent, and had indeed requested troops to protect the Capitol.
The transcript of a closed-door interview with Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato and then-Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) on January 28, 2022, was hidden by the committee, as it played up sensational claims that the testimony refuted. Click here to learn more

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An Indiana school district got an education in patriotism last week after attempting to force senior Cameron Blasek to remove an American flag from his Dodge pick-up.
“The flag itself represents this country, this beautiful country that we live in,” Blasek, a student at East Central High School in St. Leon, told Scripps News. “It also represents the people who fought their lives for it. These earmarks, totaling over $1.1 billion, are part of a larger package containing thousands of earmarks, amounting to more than $12.7 billion in taxpayer funds. Many of these earmarks appear unnecessary or could be better funded locally. Examples include funding for projects like a solar energy project in Wisconsin, a Thanksgiving Day parade in Detroit, and a kayaking facility in New Hampshire.
Both Democrats and Republicans have inserted earmarks into the bill, showcasing bipartisan support for the practice despite previous attempts to ban earmarks. While earmarks are now handled more transparently, they are still viewed as wasteful and unnecessary, especially given the country's significant debt. Click here to learn more.
