Bodycam Footage from Investigation into Attempted Assassination of Former President Trump released
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has made public the complete bodycam footage obtained from local law enforcement captured in the hour following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Grassley acquired these videos from the Beaver County Emergency Services Unit (ESU) in response to congressional requests. He continues to review all records received from federal and local agencies and is releasing all relevant records in the interest of transparency.
You can watch the videos below. These videos are being blocked on YouTube, Facebook and other plaforms:
The videos reveal Beaver County ESU officers and United States Secret Service (USSS) personnel accessing the rooftop from which the shooter fired and collecting evidence immediately after the attack. Grassley’s office has reviewed the footage, which raises significant concerns about the fragmented and delayed communication chain between local and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as a delayed response in identifying and disabling a potential detonator device located next to the deceased shooter.

The footage also captures law enforcement officials discussing the necessity of using a drone to inspect and secure a nearby water tower. Records obtained by Grassley confirm that the USSS had assigned an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) drone operator to the event. However, FBI Director Christopher Wray testified to the House Judiciary Committee yesterday that the shooter managed to fly his own drone around the venue two hours before opening fire.
Senator Grassley’s actions aim to shed light on the events and responses surrounding the assassination attempt, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in both federal and local law enforcement operations.
