WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito and Senator Pete Ricketts held a press conference to address concerns about the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) using funds from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to support what they describe as radical and extremist groups. They criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her involvement in directing funds to organizations that, they claim, have anti-American, anti-Israel, and anti-Semitic agendas. The senators pointed to the $3 billion allocated through the IRA's Environmental and Climate Justice Block Grant program, suggesting that a significant portion of this funding is going to groups engaged in activities contrary to American values, such as defunding the police and military. They emphasized the need for more oversight and accountability in how these funds are distributed. Click here to read more.

PARIS, FRANCE - After Italian boxer Angela Carini was powerfully punched twice by an Algerian boxer in the Paris Olympics who had previously been barred from fighting women, she stopped her bout 46 seconds in and broke down in tears, saying she had never been hit so hard.

Carini, 25, was fighting Algerian Imane Khelif, who was disqualified from the women’s World Championship in 2023 after failing testosterone and gender eligibility tests. International Amateur Boxing President Umar Kremlev asserted that DNA tests had “proved they had XY chromosomes and were thus excluded.” Click here to read more.

CHICAGO, IL - Fox News host Harris Faulkner said Thursday that an event where former President Donald Trump clashed with an interviewer “was not fair” and warned that the mainstream media was using race to “divide” America.

Trump was interviewed by a panel at the National Association of Black Journalists conference that included Faulkner, ABC News reporter Rachel Scott and Semafor reporter Kadia Goba, during which he clashed with Scott over her first question about Trump’s criticism of left-wing members of Congress and former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, and also commented on Vice President Kamala Harris, saying that he “didn’t know she was black” until a few years ago. Faulkner noted there were efforts to have Trump disinvited from the event and that Scott’s question derailed the panel. Click here to read more.

KANSAS CITY, KS - t’s late at night, and a stranger walking down an alley sees your family dog sleeping on the porch inside your fenced yard. The stranger softly calls the dog over and begins to pet him. While checking to see if anyone is watching, he opens the gate, clips a leash to your dog’s collar and leads him away, never to be seen again. The next morning, your family is distraught; when a neighbor’s video surveillance reveals that your dog was stolen, you feel deeply violated.

While the emotions described are implied, the circumstances are not: Reports suggest that dog thefts are on the rise in the U.S.. Click here to read more.

KINGSTON, Wash. — Manu is one of those dogs who never gets tired of playing catch. Lucky for him, 9-year-old Theo Avila also has boundless energy.

It's why when Theo was just 4 years old, his parents knew something was wrong.

“He was so tired and exhausted,” said Kelly Avila, Theo’s mother. “He just didn't want to do anything but sleep.”

A trip to his pediatrician turned into being sent straight to the hospital and the ICU.

"(The pediatrician) said, you know, just in case it could be, I don't think it's leukemia, but just to be sure," Kelly said. "The doctors confirmed it. And, and then everything just kind of went black after that." Click here to read more.

🚨The Village of Birch Run, Michigan doesn’t record or live stream their public meetings. They’re not legally required to, but I think it would be something good to do for transparency. I talked to the village president who did not want to touch the issue.
