PALM BEACH, Florida — Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that when he was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania, in mid-July he knew instantly it was a bullet that had hit him.

“A lot of times, and I was thinking about this, it would seem like a surreal moment—like you don’t realize almost where you are,” Trump said when asked to describe what went through his mind in that moment. “I never felt that. I knew immediately I got hit by a bullet.”

Trump’s comments came during a lengthy exclusive interview at Mar-a-Lago a couple weeks ago, where he sat for an hour with Breitbart News after a press conference he held earlier in the day. One of the most interesting parts of the interview was Trump talking about the failed assassination attempt from 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks against him, and it was unbelievable to hear Trump himself describe just how lucky he was that the would-be assassin’s bullets barely missed him. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody celebrated a decision this week by the U.S. Supreme Court reinstating a portion of Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote.

The ruling was 5-4, and Arizona’s law was challenged by President Joe Biden’s administration and other activist organizations.

“SCOTUS on the emergency docket reinstates an Arizona law requiring voters to provide proof of citizenship on their voter registration forms,” Moody said. “Proud to have fought with my counterparts in other states to support this critical election-integrity measure.”

The restrictions were enacted in 2022, and require Arizonans to prove they are citizens to vote in presidential elections, or vote by mail in a federal election.

The ruling in favor was Chief Justice John Roberts, and Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch. Those against were Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Ketanji Brown Jackson and Amy Coney Barrett. Click here to read more.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. explained “what MAGA really means” in a social media post just two days after he suspended his independent presidential campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump.

Kennedy explained that while there were many Democrats who claimed “MAGA” was a call for a return to an America that treated women and minorities as second-class citizens, he believed it was about returning the country to a place of optimism, vitality, and respect.

What “MAGA” really means

The phrase has troubled liberals who think it is a call for a return to an America before civil rights, gay rights, and women’s rights. But I have a more generous interpretation, one that is truer to my experience of Donald Trump as he is today. “Make…

SWEDEN - Sweden has seen a massive increase in immigration in the 2000s under governments of both left and right, a product of (take your pick) generosity, naïvety, and a self-congratulatory sense of mission (the belief, which has manifested itself in different ways over the years, that Sweden was a moral or, more modestly, humanitarian superpower) supplemented, under center-right governments between 2006-14, by a sort of libertarianism.

That “sort of” libertarianism did not extend to free speech, a notion that can be tricky to reconcile with the traditional Swedish fondness for consensus. Under the center-right prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, a politician as blinkered as he was arrogant, Sweden’s åsiktskorridor (“opinion corridor”), an idea not dissimilar to that of the Overton Window, saw the boundaries of “acceptable” political discussion narrowly drawn by the center right as well as by the left. 🚨The Village of Birch Run, Michigan doesn’t record or live stream their public meetings. They’re not legally required to, but I think it would be something good to do for transparency. I talked to the village president who did not want to touch the issue.
