Fox News is reporting, A Salvadoran illegal alien previously deported in 2019 has been arrested in connection with a disturbing child abuse case in Fairfax County, Virginia, involving two young brothers who were found chained at the ankles. The suspect, Franklin Arquimedes Viera-Guevara, 29, re-entered the United States undetected at an unknown time and location after being deported, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The boys, ages 7 and 9, were discovered in their mother’s home, leading to the arrest of both their mother and her boyfriend, Viera-Guevara. According to ICE, Viera-Guevara was initially apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol on November 1, 2018, after unlawfully entering the U.S. near McAllen, Texas. He was processed for expedited removal and deported to El Salvador on February 1, 2019. However, he managed to return to the U.S. without inspection, admission, or parole by immigration officials.
Viera-Guevara was arrested by Fairfax County Police on August 16 on charges including two counts of child abuse and neglect with reckless disregard for life, two counts of child endangerment while in custody, and two counts of child abduction by force. Following his arrest, ICE lodged an immigration detainer against him with the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
The case has raised concerns about border security and the re-entry of previously deported individuals into the U.S. without detection【source: Fox News】.
