CHICAGO, IL - The Illinois Democratic Party wants to decide the outcome of the presidential election by making a strategic investment in swing states, according to state party chair Lisa Henandez.

That strategy was echoed by U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, who said, “We should adopt [Wisconsin] – and we have in many respects – to be part of their organization to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.”

The problem: the money in the Illinois Democratic Party’s political coffers hasn’t been “donated” solely by willing Democratic voters. Some of the party’s resources come from Illinois government worker union dues.

An estimated 45% of Illinois union members supported former President Donald Trump in the 2020 election. Nationally, at least 40% of union households voted Republican in the 2020 and 2016 presidential elections. Click here to read more.

ATLANTA, GA - It takes a species of chutzpah rarely found outside of liberal and progressive politics to blame the harm done by your own policies on the people who oppose them. But that’s exactly what Kamala Harris and other pro-abortion politicians and journalists are doing right now with the deaths of Amber Nicole Thurman and Candi Miller.

Both women died of complications after taking the abortion pill — and, worse, taking it without the medical supervision that was required by the FDA until the Obama and Biden-Harris administrations stripped away those safeguards.

In Miller’s case, the pill was shipped by mail in violation of a federal statute that the Biden-Harris administration refuses to enforce. Click here to read more.

HAMTRAMCK, Mich - Hamtramck Mayor Amer Ghalib made headlines over the weekend by endorsing former President Donald Trump’s latest bid for president, putting the U.S.’ only Muslim-majority town in the national spotlight.

Ghalib, who became Hamtramck’s first Muslim mayor after being elected in 2021, was born in Yemen and immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager in 1997, according to a profile of the mayor posted by Henry Ford College.

He attended Hamtramck High School and worked at a factory, eventually going on to attend then-Henry Ford Community College and Wayne State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and pre-med. He later attended the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, where he completed four years but did not complete his residency. Click here to read more.

DEL RIO TX - An alert going out to the Border Patrol warns of military-grade weapons being found on the Mexico side of the border near Ajo, Arizona.

Weapons located, per the alert, include four rocket-propelled grenades and eight improvised explosive devices, also known as IEDs, as well as a large amount of ammunition. A scout site was also discovered and then dismantled by Mexican officials.

IEDs found, per the alert, are consistent with those being used by transnational criminal organizations during recent drone attacks in northern Sonora.

This is one example of the “drastic escalation” in the type of weaponry being used at the U.S.-Mexico border, Customs and Border Protection sources say. Click here to read more.

A pro-life group says that Planned Parenthood creates an abortion pipeline by embedding itself in sex education programs at schools across the country.

The American Life League is warning students to be vigilant across the country, pointing to a new analysis from the organization showing that Planned Parenthood resources are utilized by schools and teachers for sex education across the country.

“This often goes pretty undetected by people in the pro-life movement because I don’t think people see the connection between sex ed and abortion numbers,” American Life League National Director Katie Brown told The Daily Wire. “What Planned Parenthood does with their sex education is they are essentially creating their clientele base.”

Planned Parenthood’s influence can be through teacher training offered by the abortion giant or through sex-ed presentations with school districts.

Michigan High School Students depicts Charlie Kirk murder during school
School district is investigating

LIVONIA, Mich. — Livonia Public Schools says administrators at Churchill High School took action after becoming aware of a student’s reported depiction of the killing of Charlie Kirk.

According to information provided to Keeping it Real, a student reportedly arrived at Churchill High School dressed to depict Kirk being killed, including what appeared to be fake blood running down the student’s neck.

The incident raised questions about how the school responded and whether the depiction violated district policies.

A photograph of the student in the costume was subsequently posted to a non- affiliated

Churchill Instagram account, with the song “We Are Charlie Kirk.”

I have obtained a copy of the photo, but due to its disturbing nature, I have chosen not to publish it.

Keeping it Real contacted school officials seeking an explanation of what happened and how administrators handled the situation.

Stacy Jenkins, administrator of district communications, said Churchill High School officials learned about the situation at the beginning of the school day and acted quickly.

“Churchill High School administration was made aware of the situation at the start of the school day and swiftly addressed it with the student involved,” Jenkins said.

Jenkins acknowledged that the depiction was inappropriate.

“While we cannot prevent every poor choice a student may make, we can ensure that inappropriate behavior is addressed when our administration becomes aware — that is exactly what occurred in this situation,” Jenkins said. “The depiction was inappropriate and did not align with our expectations for student behavior.”

The district’s response does not specify what action was taken involving the student or whether disciplinary measures were imposed.

The incident comes amid heightened concerns about how schools handle depictions or references to real-world political violence, particularly when they involve students.
