SPRINGFIELD, OH - Haitian migrants are reportedly self-deporting from Springfield, Ohio, and fleeing to sanctuary jurisdictions such as Chicago, Illinois, and New York City, New York.
Springfield, a city of 50,000 that lies between Columbus and Dayton, garnered national attention months ago when President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance noted that the community had been inundated with thousands of Haitian migrants as a result of President Joe Biden’s immigration policies.
Many of the 10,000 to 20,000 Haitian migrants who arrived in Springfield over the last few years are in the United States on Temporary Protected Status (TPS), a quasi-amnesty program. Others were awarded parole after being released into the United States at the southern border.
As Breitbart News reported in September, the arrival of thousands of Haitians has driven up housing costs in Springfield, created more welfare dependency, and coincided with a surge in car crashes that police and firefighters must respond to.
With Trump and Vance’s election victory this month, Haitian migrants have told CBS News and The Guardian that they plan to flee to sanctuary jurisdictions like Chicago and New York City.

CHICAGO, IL - In Denver, where “New to Country” students jumped by nearly 5,000 last year, school board members are vowing to fight President-elect Donald Trump’s plan to deport illegal immigrants.
Denver Public School board member Scott Esserman told those who attended a Nov. 7 work session that it’s the “responsibility” of public school officials to shield families in the country illegally from federal immigration officials, KMGH reports.
“If you are a student who is undocumented or a family who is undocumented, we will take care of you,” Esserman said. “That is our responsibility; we’re here to do that. I think it’s important that you hear that.”
Esserman detailed how the district absorbed 4,763 New to Country students who enrolled during the 2023-24 school year, with state lawmakers approving an additional $24 million statewide to compensate schools for the influx.
The 4,763 students dwindled to 3,941 by the end of the 2023-24 school year, and another 20% dropped off before the start of 2024-25 in September. Click here to read more.

Enoch Burke, a schoolteacher at Wilson’s Hospital School in Ireland, lost his job and is now sitting in an Irish jail for refusing to compromise his biblical beliefs. That’s what it looks like when you value your faith in God more than the ways of the world.
The Anglican-affiliated school put Burke on leave in 2022 “for refusing to call a boy by the pronouns ‘they/them.’” The boy was—presumably—a singular entity. They/them are plural pronouns. Burke could refuse to call the confused lad they/them on the rock-solid argument that it violates the rules of grammar. Left unchecked, such violations will render the language incoherent.
Burke promptly returned to his classroom to teach “despite administrators getting a court injunction to stop him from coming on campus.”
The next thing you know, Burke was arrested. He defended himself in court saying, “I am here today because I said I would not call a boy a girl. Transgenderism is against my Christian belief. It is contrary to the scriptures, contrary to the ethos of the Church of Ireland and of my school.” Click here to read more.

KANSAS CITY, MO - Four in 10 Americans are actively doing more good deeds before the end of 2024, says a new survey of 2,000 Americans.
It revealed that 43% are using the end of the year to boost the amount of giving this year, increasing their good deeds, volunteering more, or donating.
Commissioned by Avocado Green Mattress and conducted by Talker Research ahead of Giving Tuesday, the poll revealed younger generations reported doing more good throughout the year than older generations reported.
59% of Gen Z and millennial respondents agreed that they are doing more good as we approach 2025, to make up for the rest of the year, compared to 37% of Gen X and baby boomers agreeing.
Of the Gen X and baby boomers surveyed, 47% said they did as much good as they wanted to within their community this year.
Results also revealed that one-fifth (19%) of younger generations gave themselves an “A” for the amount of good they’ve done so far in 2024 — versus 10% of older respondents. Click here to read more.
