WASHINGTON D.C. - he FBI “misled the public” for years in claiming a sniper's attempt to kill Republican congressmen at a June 2017 baseball practice was "suicide by cop”, when it was in fact domestic terrorism, according to a new congressional report released Tuesday.
The 27-page House Intelligence Committee report concludes “the FBI’s bottom line – ‘the FBI does not believe there is a nexus to terrorism’ – was based upon falsehoods, half-truths, and manipulations of the known facts.”
FBI Director Kash Patel announced in April that he had handed over to Congress long-sought bureau records related to the shooting at a ball field in northern Virginia.
The GOP-led Intelligence panel said in the report Tuesday that Patel's cooperation is "a welcome change from previous FBI leadership, who thwarted Congressional oversight and public accountability at every turn, however, after reviewing the case file, the Committee could not be more disappointed by the FBI’s incomplete investigation and substandard analysis in 2017.”
James Hodgkinson, a left-wing activist from Illinois, shot four people in the June 14, 2017, attack, including Louisiana GOP Rep. Steve Scalise. He reportedly asked GOP congressmen who had left the practice early, and before the attack, whether the players were Republicans or Democrats. He died a day after a 10-minute shootout with police. The members of Congress were practicing for an annual charity game. Click here to read more.

NEW YORK CITY, NY - Jury selection for Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial began Monday morning in New York as a media circus surrounded the courthouse in Lower Manhattan.
One hundred and fifty potential jurors were asked to fill out a questionnaire that gauged their knowledge of Combs, their views on law enforcement, whether they have experienced a sexual assault and more. They were also given a list of at least 190 people including celebrities and public figures and asked to indicate which names they recognized.
Among the names on that list are Michael B. Jordan, Kanye West, Mike Myers and Kid Cudi. It’s unclear how the names on the list relate to the Combs trial, if at all. Combs is known to have hosted big Hollywood parties and was well-connected among celebrities. Click here to read more.

DENVER, COL - A Colorado state senator appeared to belittle the faith of critics by referring to “trans Jesus” amid debate on HB 25-1312, after he and his party amended the bill beyond recognition in the wee hours of Monday night, two days before the end of the Colorado legislative session.
HB 25-1312 drew national scrutiny after a Colorado Democrat compared concerned parents to the Ku Klux Klan. The bill originally mandated courts to consider “deadnaming” and “misgendering” as forms of “coercive control” in custody disputes, meaning that parents who dissent from gender identity could lose their children.
Following loud backlash, Senate Democrats substantially altered the measure after it passed the Colorado House of Representatives.

“This email says, basically, ‘I’m accountable to almighty God, because I’m standing up for equality, that my decisions, one day, I will stand before him and be accountable,'” state Sen. Chris Kolker, a Democrat and sponsor of the bill, said on Tuesday. Click here to read more.

PHOENIX, AZ - This week marks Teacher Appreciation Week, and we can’t think of a better role model than this preschool teacher who spotted a developmental quirk in a little boy who was then able to get early treatment for a serious and rare condition.
Every child is unique in terms of their development—but there are some milestones in childhood that, if delayed or missed, could be a warning sign of a deeper medical issue.
That was exactly the case for little boy named Hudson, whose parents consider his preschool teacher to be a blessing because she spotted a very early sign that Hudson might have a rare muscle disease.
The Arizona teacher noticed that he was not running as fast as the other children in class and – notably – was relying on something called the Gower’s maneuver to get himself up off the floor (a maneuver in which a person uses their arms to walk their body from a seated to standing position).
From her experience with other students Hudson’s age (3-4 years-old at the time), she knew that type of movement wasn’t normal and pulled Hudson’s parents aside to share her subtle observation with the advice that they should have him checked out by a specialist. Click here to read more.
