The suspect, identified as Darryl Damien Fisher-Stubbs, 36, a black male from the Bahamas, reportedly fled the scene immediately following the assault. Investigators believe the attack stemmed from an altercation between two individuals who knew each other.

Authorities issued a warning to the public, advising that Fisher-Stubbs was considered dangerous and potentially armed. Citizens were urged not to approach him and to call 911 with any sightings or information.
On June 14 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Fisher-Stubbs was taken into custody without incident by a Seward County Sheriff's Deputy in Kansas during a traffic stop. He is currently being held in Seward County, awaiting extradition to Otsego County, Michigan.
