Disguising DEI: Schools Keep Trying to Push a Discredited Ideology

It’s back-to-school season, and some teachers have promised that the racist ideas from diversity, equity, and inclusion would not be in their classrooms this year. That’s the good news. The bad news is that many of these teachers and administrators are clearly telling whoppers.

In fact, K-12 schools and colleges around the country are disguiding their DEO offices and their racial preferences.

Take Maryland, across the border from the nation’s capital and where many federal bureaucrats sleep and send their children to school.

State education officials said schools would comply with President Donald Trump’s executive orders calling on schools to reject DEI, citing the ways in which DEI programs violate civil rights laws. Click here to read more.

 

Lawmaker Backs Plan to Let Michigan Bow Hunters Pack Pistols for Protection

LANSING, Mich. – One Michigan lawmaker wants to move forward with a plan to allow Michigan bow hunters to carry a pistol with them for personal protection.

“Hunters can face many dangers in the woods, especially from close encounters with predator species like bears, wolves, and cougar,” said Rep. Dave Prestin (R-Cedar River), who is backing the legislation. “Bow hunters are very limited in their ability to respond if one of these animals becomes aggressive and decides to attack them.”

Currently, Michigan law only allows bow hunters to carry a pistol if they possess a valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL). Prestin explained that “Gun owners who are otherwise legally able to open-carry their handguns are prohibited from doing so once they walk into the woods with a bow.”

Prestin explained that a black bear with three cubs attacked a young bow hunter last year. The hunter held the bear off but required 40 stitches in his leg from an injury sustained during the attack. He said Michigan hunters deserve safety in the woods. Click here to read more.

 

Another Year of Education Failure for Our Nation’s Children

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) has released national scores for 2024. Those scores continue to be on the decline. In fact, they are at record lows.

The majority of students who took the NAEP were not proficient in reading or math. Only 35% of seniors were proficient in reading, and just 22% were proficient in math. These new graduates are educationally handicapped as they take off on their postsecondary paths. How are they supposed to be successful in college? Clearly, something has got to change because our kids aren’t being educated.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon had plenty to say about these abysmal numbers. In a post on X, she wrote, “Today’s [NAEP] 12th grade math and reading and 8th grade science scores confirm a devastating trend: American students are testing at historic lows. Nearly HALF of America’s high school seniors are testing at below basic levels in math and reading. The status quo is failing our students.”

McMahon went on to explain that billions of taxpayer dollars have been thrown at public education, yet there is no improvement in student achievement. Student, teacher get into physical altercation over cell phone

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WHBQ) - A teacher in Memphis, Tennessee, is facing an assault allegation.

It stemmed from an altercation with a student over a cell phone.

Police described what is seen in the video as a “tussle.”

The video shows a teacher and a student entangled over a cell phone.

“When I seen the teacher on my daughter, my heart dropped. I was worried. I was concerned. I was too busy, worried about my child’s safety,” said mother Gwendolyn Williams.

This year, Tennessee banned cell phones in classrooms statewide.

Memphis-Shelby County Schools recently updated its policy to follow the law.

It says phone can be confiscated, but “teachers are not encouraged to physically retrieve them, only request a surrender or call an administrator.” Click here to read more.

 

Parents outraged after youth football coach revealed as registered sex offender

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KATU) — Parents with kids on the Clark County Youth Football (CCYF) are outraged after officials on the team say they were informed one of the coaches was a registered sex offender.

According to the Facebook post, the league was notified on Friday about the coach and verified those claims through both the Washington Association of Sheriff's and law enforcement.

"Within 2 hours of learning the information, the coach was removed from the league. We had no prior knowledge of his record based off of information provided for a background check," Clark County Youth Football said in a post on Facebook.

The post also went on to say that following this weekend's game the board met to draft up new protocols to prevent this from happening again. Click here to read more.

Idaho High School Cheer Coach Fired for Posting Video Celebrating Charlie Kirk Assassination

Annika Rutz, an assistant cheer coach at Meridian High School in Meridian, Idaho, has been fired for posting a video celebrating the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

Rutz was fired from the West Ada School District after declaring in a Snapchat video, “You fucking got what you fucking deserve. I just saw the fucking video, it looks like you got shot in the neck or chest,” in reference to Kirk, according to a report by KIVI.

In the video, Rutz went on to rant, “I’m not saying I wish death upon someone, but that’s what I’m fucking saying for this motherfucker, piece of fucking shit, I hope he’s dead.”

“Is that going to get me arrested?” Rutz adds, appearing to second-guess her remarks, before blatantly sarcastically adding, “I hope he’s not dead, ohh ohh, pray for Charlie Kirk, ohh ohh.”

“And he’s a huge advocate for gun rights, if that isn’t irony, I don’t know what is,” Rutz continues, before concluding her video by exclaiming, “Today’s a good day! Today’s a good day!”

In what appears to be follow-up post to Snapchat, the now-former Idaho high school employee shared a photo of her face with her hand over her mouth, writing, “Confirmed: he’s dead.” Click here to read more.

Since we’re on a path to bankruptcy, it would be smart to sell some unused property.

Liberal Foundations Spent Millions To Shape the 'Soft-on-Crime' Policies Now Blamed for Freeing Career Criminal Who Brutally Murdered Ukrainian Refugee

Two left-wing foundations, the MacArthur Foundation and Arnold Ventures, spent millions pushing criminal justice reform policies in Charlotte, North Carolina, that are now being blamed for career criminal Decarlos Brown walking the streets in Charlotte, where he brutally murdered Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on the city's transit system.

Brown, who fatally stabbed Zarutska on Aug. 22, had 14 prior arrests including an armed robbery that landed him five years in prison, and was released without bond or monitoring in a criminal case earlier this year. Lawmakers, the Trump administration, and even Brown's relatives have blamed the soft-on-crime policies embraced by Mecklenburg County court system, which oversees Charlotte. Trump demands COVID vaccine data, calls for transparency from Pfizer

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump is demanding that drug companies, including Pfizer, publicly release data to justify the success of their COVID-19 vaccines.

In a Truth Social post, Trump demanded transparency from companies, including Pfizer, regarding their work during “Operation Warp Speed,” the government initiative launched to accelerate the development of COVID-19 vaccines.

“I have been shown information from Pfizer, and others, that is extraordinary, but they never seem to show those results to the public,” Trump wrote. “Why not???”

The president pointed to how Pfizer and other drug companies “go off to the next ‘hunt’ and let everyone rip themselves apart, including Bobby Kennedy Jr. and CDC, trying to figure out the success or failure of the Drug Companies Covid work.” Click here to read more.

 

Lansing spends $1.4 million on tiny homes for homeless — that aren’t approved for winter use!

The city of Lansing is spending $640,000 on micro-housing units for homeless residents who won’t be able to use them when they need them most.

In August, city officials agreed to purchase 50 ModPods modular housing units for $640,000 from a nonprofit in Kalamazoo. The nonprofit had shelved plans to use them in that community after struggling to find a location, Bridge Michigan reports.

The pods, initially purchased for $1 million, are expected to cost another $750,000 a year to maintain, bringing the total cost for the first year to about $1.4 million, or $28,000 per 8-by-8-foot unit.

However, city officials told the media that the pods are not authorized for winter use and will likely not be available until June 2026.

“I think there’s utility in it.… It really depends on what the goal of the system is,” Nick Cook, director of public policy for the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness, told Bridge. “In and of itself, it’s just another tool in the tool bag for communities to deal with the homeless and unhoused populations.” Click here to read more.

OREM, Utah - The man accused of killing conservative commentator Charlie Kirk had been living with a transgender partner who is now cooperating with federal investigators, according to law enforcement sources as first reported by FOX News.

Tyler Robinson, 22, is charged with aggravated murder in the shooting that claimed Kirk’s life during a speaking event this week at Utah Valley University. Authorities say Robinson’s partner, who was transitioning from male to female, has provided communications and other information to the FBI that shed light on Robinson’s actions and state of mind.

Investigators also revealed that bullet casings recovered at the scene bore inscriptions. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said one was marked with the words “Hey fascist! Catch!” Others carried references to internet meme culture, including the phrase “notices, bulges, OwO, what’s this?” as well as lyrics from the anti-fascist song Bella Ciao.

Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck while responding to a question about transgender mass shooters during his “American Comeback” tour. He was rushed into surgery but died hours later.

Robinson, a Utah resident who once attended Utah State University before dropping out, had been working as an electrical apprentice. Family members told reporters he had become increasingly political in recent months and had openly expressed hatred of Kirk before the shooting.

Kirk was the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative student organization that grew into a powerful force on college campuses and in Republican politics. He was a frequent media commentator and a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump.

The killing has sparked widespread outrage and renewed concern about political violence. Prosecutors and the FBI continue to build their case as new details about Robinson’s personal life and motivations emerge.
