Michigan school board punished trustee who shared tax proposal
The Rochester Community School District Board of Education has censured a board member for informing the public of an upcoming proposal for a tax increase.
The board voted Nov. 10 to censure fellow trustee Carol Beth Litkouhi, removing her from all committee assignments, after she mentioned a secret proposal for a countywide tax increase in a Detroit News Op-Ed.
Although the information is considered public information and would be subject to a Freedom of Information Act request, the board determined Litkouhi violated a board bylaw. Click here to read more.
Newsom Insider Busted: Top Dem Consultant Nabbed In Corruption Scandal
The former chief of staff to California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom was charged Wednesday in connection with a complicated scheme to steal funds from a campaign account previously belonging to former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra.
The Justice Department unveiled a 23-count indictment against 53-year-old Democrat consultant Dana Williamson, charging her with bank fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and obstruct justice, subscribing to false tax returns, and making false statements. Williamson, who worked for Newsom between 2022 and 2024, is accused of participating in a scheme to divert $225,000 from Becerra’s dormant campaign account. Click here to read more.

TV News Spends Shutdown Playing Defense for Democrats
For the past month the big three broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) have hammered both Congressional Republicans and President Trump with a wall of negative shutdown coverage, while largely shielding Democrats from blame for the now-historic gridlock.
MRC analysts examined every evening newscast on ABC, CBS, and NBC between October 1 and October 31, 2025. Across the 67 reports and news briefs which discussed the government shutdown, 87 percent of the coverage favored Democrats. Analysts found 83 evaluative statements in which anchors or reporters were critical of Republicans, but just twelve criticizing Democrats. Click here to read more.
ICE, Florida arrest 230 illegal aliens in 10-day ‘Operation Dirtbag’ targeting child predators
MIRAMAR, Fla. – A 10-day joint operation between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Florida law enforcement agencies resulted in the removal of more than 230 “heinous criminals,” including dozens of sexual predators and convicted murderers, officials announced Thursday.
The enforcement surge, dubbed “Operation Dirtbag” by ICE Deputy Director Madison Sheahan, was aimed at targeting illegal aliens who had attacked children and committed other serious crimes in Florida communities.
“In just 10 days, we’ve been able to remove, in partnership with the state of Florida, over 230 of the worst, of the worst, heinous criminals from their streets,” Sheahan said. Click here to read more.
