Authorities launched a search for Park on Nov. 21 after she was reported missing. Four days later, investigators discovered her body in a remote section of the Manistee National Forest in Wexford County. An autopsy later confirmed the remains were Park’s. The baby she was reportedly carrying was not found with her.

The Michigan State Police and the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances of Park’s death. The cause of death has not yet been released, and the search for the infant is ongoing.

The legal battle between the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Michigan Duck Rescue and Sanctuary has come to an end. with all charges dismissed against the couple who run the operation.

Matthew and Teresa Lyson, founders of the Salem Township sanctuary, had faced six criminal charges each after state officials accused them of keeping and caring for waterfowl without proper permits. This week, the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office dismissed the cases in their entirety, following months of public scrutiny and growing political pressure.

“This is great news,” Lyson told Keeping It Real. “All charges against me and Teresa are 100 percent gone. It’s a done deal, and we get to start new.”

Background of the Case

The Michigan Duck Rescue and Sanctuary has operated for nearly two decades, caring for injured or abandoned ducks, geese, and other waterfowl — many of which suffer from “angel wing,” a deformity often caused by people feeding them improper food. The Lysons say their work ...

This is in Grand Rapids, Michigan

👀 Someone sent this to me from the Grand Rapids YMCA.

They are working on a coed locker room, and the sign says, “We’re going co-ed. We know your mom wouldn’t approve.”

It also reads, “Shower in your bathing suit, not your birthday suit.”

For clarity, the YMCA says there will still be separate men’s and women’s locker rooms.

Still, that messaging caught my attention. The “your mom wouldn’t approve” line is… unusual.

Worth clarifying this. The federal changes never meant vaccines were being taken away or made unavailable. They adjusted recommendations, not access, and vaccines remain available for anyone who wants them through doctors and existing programs.

DEARBORN, Mich. (Michigan News Site) – Tarek Bazzi, a Dearborn man described as a teacher and activist at a Muslim academy, described the U.S. and Israel as the world’s worst terrorists in a video he posted on Instagram earlier this week.

The video was posted by the pro-Israel organization the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which tracks down anti-Israel conduct online.

In the Instagram video, Bazzi said, “And so with God as my witness, my guardian, and my judge, I declare clearly and explicity that the United States and Israel are the world’s worst terrorists, murderers, thieves and enslavers. I declare with certainty that humanity will never know true freedom, peace, justice and mutual love and respect so long as the two evils of U.S. imperialism and Zionist colonialism continue to exist.” Click here to read more.

Prefiled bill to require English-only driver’s license exams

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - One Alabama lawmaker is hoping his prefiled bill to require all driver’s tests be given in English gets picked up by lawmakers.

“What this does is say, if you’re going to drive in Alabama, you’re going to drive our driver’s license, you’re going to speak and understand English,” said Rep. Phillip Pettus (R-Killen).

Pettus is also a retired state trooper. He said all portions of the driver’s test, from the written examination to behind-the-wheel tests, should only be given in English.

House Bill 88 would require that “all written, oral, vision, and driving portions of the examination administered for the purpose of obtaining or renewing a driver’s license must be in the English language only. An applicant may not use a translation dictionary, an electronic device, or an interpreter to assist with the administration of the examination.” Click here to read more.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mich. (FOX 2) - An investigation is ongoing after a confrontation with people recording through the window of his Marine City business ended with the owner being pepper-sprayed.
